Several of our members recently started EMT school at Stephenville Fire Department.
They are Stan Babkowski, Scott Robinson, Brian Salge, Donnie Jones, Janet Howle, Misty Williamson, T.J. Hale and Kim Sherrod.

We taught an American Heart Association- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED course to 21 first responders from the Comanche County area. Congrats to Comanche VFD, Gustine VFD and DeLeon VFD for having such dedicated volunteers !

Stan Babkowski, Scott Robinson, Brian Salge, Donnie Jones, Janet Howle, Misty Williamson, T.J. Hale and Kim Sherrod all finished EMT school and did great on their final exam. They will be finishing up their clinicals soon and going on to take the National Registry test.
October 2009
We received a Local Projects Grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services in the amount of $9,500. This grant will completely fund the purchase of 20 oxygen bottles, 10 first responder kits, 6 radio/pagers, 3 EMS instructor courses, 2 EMT-Basic courses and 1 EMT-Paramedic course.
We also received a JP Morgan/Birdie Hartsough Frey Memorial grant in the amount of $7,000 to fund the purchase/construction of a radio repeater. This repeater will inhance the communications ability of local Fire/EMS/Sheriff personnel by upgrading the signal strength in the Morgan Mill and Northen Erath County area.

CTERT was given the highly coveted North Central Texas Emergency Preparedness Regional Hot Stuff Award. This is awarded to agencies in the North Central Texas region in recognition of extraordinary participation and efforts in helping build strong and effective regional emergency preparedness capacity.
January 2011
CTERT was donated 3 vehicles by a local public safety agency. 2 of these will be placed into service as first responder units. 1 will be stationed in Morgan Mill with the 2nd being stationed in Lingleville. The remaining vehicle will be used for parts due to all 3 being the same make/model of vehicle. |
