Stats include EMS calls, Fire calls, Stand-by events and any patient contacts. Definitions: Medical- Any type of medical condition such as chest pain, heart attack, stroke, difficulty breathing, nausea/vomiting, diabetic problem, etc. Trauma- Any type of injury such as falls, abrasions, lacerations, fractures/breaks, gunshots, vehicle accidents, etc. Fire- When an ambulance or medical personnel are requested at the scene of a fire (structure fire, wildland fire, etc.) to assist with victims and to set up rehab for the firefighters. Search- When a person is missing and search/rescue workers have to located the subject. Airlifted- When a patient is transported from an incident by helicopter or fixed wing ambulance to a higher level of care hospital such as a trauma center, stroke center or cardiac specialty center. Extricated- When a patient has to be removed from an entrapment with special tools such as the "jaws of life". 2011 Statistics 107 incidents in our response area as of February 22, 2011 at 1900hrs.
